I am a children’s writer and illustrator creating lively characters and stories in heartwarming and silly situations. I love combining the traditional textures of watercolor, gouache, and colored pencil with my digital work, employing bright color palettes and sketch-like marks to capture the humor, joy, and whimsy in my characters and narratives.
I grew up in a small town of only 8,000 people near Kansas City, MO, but I often imagined I was in fantastical worlds of my own creation. As a kid, favorite hobby was creating little paper comics and books for myself, drawing everything from heroic princesses to silly dancing cats.
In college I rediscovered my passion for storytelling with humor and whimsy and found my love for children's art and stories. I am very excited to get to work and create some magic.
When I am not making art, I love exploring new places and hobbies, reading fantasy novels, playing cozy games, and getting a sweet treat with my friends.
